48 Schools Named Finalists For Intel And Scholastic Schools Of Distinction Awards

Elementary, Secondary Schools Honored for Innovative Programs that Support Student Achievement (press release)

Greece Odyssey Academy is one of five schools nominated for Leadership Excellence. Dynamic leadership based on vision, data, research, best practices and continuous monitoring and assessment engages the school community in continuous school improvement focused on student achievement.

Parkland-Brookside Elementary School is one of six schools nominated for Mathematics Achievement. The mathematics curriculum includes a variety of instructional strategies that incorporate critical thinking skills, hands-on experiences and project-based learning to ensure high levels of achievement for all students.

A video of Getting from good to great, the Forum held January 11 with Drs. Kathleen Fitzpatrick and Bill Dadey, authors of the Greece Education Audit, will be broadcast at 8 PM on Tuesday, February 14th on Cable Channel 12.

The Alliance for Quality Education and other organizations will sponsor
"A Town Meeting on Getting Equal Funding for our Schools" at 7 p.m. Feb. 16 at School Without Walls, 480 Broadway, Rochester, NY 14607.
