Superintendent Hosts Community Conversations

Greece Central School District Superintendent Barbara Deane-Williams is hosting two opportunities for informal conversations in June. The hour-long sessions will enable leaders to learn more about what the district is doing well and where there are opportunities to strengthen our programs.

The first conversation will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 14; the second will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, June 18. The locations of the sessions are still to be determined and will be announced in the coming days. Interested community members can select the date that works best for them. To ensure that space is adequate, RSVPs are appreciated.

Superintendent Deane-Williams will lead the discussions, designed to generate feedback and help guide future goal setting and strategic planning. Please call 966-2301 to register. If interest exceeds space available, other sessions may be added in the future.  http://www.greece.k12.ny.us/news.cfm?story=1082&school=0

NYS PTA Legislative Conference,
Lobby Day March 19, 2012

Greece Central School District students Jasmine Edwards and Lukonde Mulenga, from Arcadia HS, and Ryan Mulcahy, from Odyssey Academy, were among PTA members in Albany advocating for the distribution of funds ($200M of the $250M competitive grants money) back to local schools. They also advocated for the governor to be more positive about NYS schools in his portrayal of how our students are doing.

The students were sponsored by the Greece PTA Council.
